Implementing Resilience in Microservices with Circuit Breaker
When distributed services depend on each other synchronously, a single point of slowness can cause systemic collapse. The Circuit Breaker pattern exists to stop calls that are doomed to fail before they consume all of the application's resources.
The State Cycle
The circuit operates in three fundamental states:

Why Use It in Production?
- Fail-Fast: Avoids leaving connections hanging while waiting on a 30-second timeout.
- Self-Recovery: Lets the unstable external service recover without being hit by a continuous flood of traffic.
- Graceful Degradation: Makes it easier to return cached data or a controlled fallback to the user.
